Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana (Madhya Pradesh): Protecting Farmers from Price Fluctuations

Launched on 16th October 2017, the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana in Madhya Pradesh aims to safeguard farmers’ welfare by providing financial compensation whenever the market price of agricultural products falls below the announced Minimum Support Price (MSP). This scheme protects farmers from losses caused by distress sales, ensuring they receive fair remuneration for their produce.

The target of the scheme is to pay farmers the difference between the official MSP and the actual selling price or the model price, whichever is higher. By doing so, it ensures income stability for farmers and encourages them to continue agricultural activities without fear of price crashes.
