Of these CSV-1, CSV-2, CSV-3, CSV-6 and CSV-7R are not under cultivation due to drawbacks. CSV-5 is a dwarf variety, striga resistant and suitable for dry rainfed areas. CSV-8R is a good rabi variety with round, bold grains.
