Fisher was a British Geneticist and co-founder of classical statistical genetics. His major contributions are
1) Experimental designs
2) Analysis of variance
3) Exact test of significance for small samples
4) Test of maximum Likelyhood
He focussed especially on the problems of biological research, small samples, variable material and fluctuating environment. He showed how to design experiments to get maximum information in biological research. In 1918 Fisher provided the initial frame of biometrics for the study of Quantitative Genetics. He also partitioned the genetic variance into additive, dominance and epistatic components
His important books are
1) Statistical methods for research workers
2) Genetical theory of natural selection
3) Statistical methods and scientific inference
4) Statistical tables for biological, agricultural and medical
5) Research designs of experiments
